The 2011 Eisner Awards have been announced.

What is the Eisner Awards?

It is named for the famous cartoonist Will Eisner and the awards are presented to the best comic books published the prior year.

Calder was born July 22, 1898 in Philadelphia. He was an artist and sculptor. He is best known for mobile sculptures like this:
